Friends and neighbors gathered for the 4th Annual Meeting to celebrate a year's great success, enjoy the company offriends, and savor cups of hot local cider. Over 60 people attended and at the culmination of the night's event, it was standing room only! We celebrated the year's successes with great accolades to the Garden Tour, the Mumford Concert, and the Summer Concert Series. FoEP welcomed the new Marketing & Development Coordinator, Frances Buerkens, as well as 4 new Board Members! FoEP Treasurer, Ginny Randall, informed attendees of the financial successes, with particular thanks to the philanthropy of the 2012 Garden Tour and Summer Concert Sponsors, as well as the acquisition of funding for the Fort Allen Rehabilitation Project. Tica Douglas and Nini McManamy, 2012 Garden Committee Co-Chairs, reported that ticket sales have increased more than 25% over the last two years! Richard Anderson, Trevor Coyne, and Zack Brandwein reported for Membership and Events, Marketing, and Development Committees respectively. The Membership Committee has set a goal to reach 225 memberships (or approximately 325 members) by December 31st. Please consider giving a gift membership to help us reach this goal-we only need 30 more memberships to reach it! The newly formed Development Committee is chaired by Zack. The Project Committee is exploring acquisition of grants for the removal of invasive species and continued renovation of Fort Allen Park.
