Quimby Family Foundation awards $15,000 grant to FoEP

The Quimby Family Foundation has awarded a $15,000 grant to Friends of the Eastern Promenade to fund a part-time coordinator to help with administration and special projects. Founded December 2006, Friends of the Eastern Promenade is currently an all-volunteer organization. The new position will help our organization to grow and assist in organizing fundraising efforts for our significant project priorities.

"Thanks to the generosity of the Quimby Family Foundation, we're able to pursue capacity building for our organization just in time for the undertaking of some substantial project priorities," said Diane Davison, President of Friends of the Eastern Promenade. "We're grateful to Roxanne Quimby and the Foundation not only for believing in Friends of the Eastern Promenade, but for all they do to support our environment and the arts here in Maine."

The Quimby Family Foundation was formed in 2004 by Roxanne Quimby, a businesswoman, environmentalist and philanthropist. The Foundation's mission is to advance wilderness values and to increase access to the arts throughout Maine.
