About
Friends of the Eastern Promenade is a nonprofit community organization committed to preserving the park’s historic public landscape, protecting the environmental integrity and enhancing recreational use.
Founded in December 2006, Friends of the Eastern Promenade is dedicated to coordinating communication and establishing relationships with neighbors, Portland city staff and other nonprofits and business leaders within our community. Using the Master Plan for the Eastern Promenade as our guide, we’ve identified key park improvements for implementation. Trail connections have been a top priority, and we are proud to have worked with our partner organizations in creating the Fort Allen and Loring Memorial trails.
